Mayah’s Lot is Book 1 of the Environmental Justice Chronicle. Readers learn alongside Mayah as she rallies her neighbors to prevent a vacant lot in their already overburdened community from becoming a hazardous waste storage facility. Through their efforts, the abandoned lot is instead converted into a neighborhood park in an area that desperately needed greenspace
